摘 要
海明威是美国现代杰出的小说家，是20世纪世界文坛极具个性的作家。他孤独、困惑、悲观和勇敢的个性特质直接影响着他的创作思想的形成，体现在他的价值取向上。本文认为，海明威鲜明独特的创作思想与价值取向是紧密联系在一起的，一方面，他的创作思想本身即体现了一定的世界观、人生观和价值观;另一方面，价值取向不仅是他创作思想的直接表现形式，而且从一个非常重要的方面，集中体现了他的复杂的个性特质。在阐述作家创作的价值取向时，本文重点分析了海明威创作的硬汉生存方式以及多元伦理价值观方面，浓笔重彩地进行了有益的探索。

Abstract
Ernest Hemingway was an outstanding novelist in American modern history as well as a writer with a particular individuality in the world literature of the twentieth century. The idiosyncrasy of his personality such as loneliness, perplexity, pessimism and bravery all have a direct influence on the formation of his creative thoughts and his orientation of values. The article considers that Hemingway''s vivid and distinctive creative thoughts are closely interwoven with his orientation of values. On one hand, his thoughts of creation themselves present certain outlook on the world, life and values; on the other hand, the orientation of values is not only a direct manifestation of his creative thoughts but also a concentrative representation of his complicated idiosyncrasy of personality in an important respect. Therefore, referring to Hemingway''s idiosyncrasy of personality and creative thoughts, this article further illustrates the orientation of values in the author''s creation, especially emphasizing the exploration on the way of existence of a man of strong masculinity and the mufti-values of ethics.
